Passend zu den Sommerferien ein Blick auf die Stadtranderholung in New York City vor 115 Jahren. Den New Yorkern standen in erreichbarer Nähe einige attraktive Strände für einen Kurzurlaub am Meer zur Verfügung, darunter Rockaway Beach, den man auf einer schmalen Halbinsel südöstlich von Brooklyn und südlich von Queens findet.
